How do I install LinkPoint Connect in silent mode with no user interface?

Typically, running any of the LinkPoint Connect installers results in a standard installation wizard that walks the user through the installation process with a chance to change the default folder and some other settings. Users may want to run the installation in silent mode without all of the click through requirements. All LinkPoint Connect standard .exe installers support a command line for silent installation.

Run the LinkPoint Connect installer file provided to you by LinkPoint360 using the following command line flags:Â /s /v/qn

Tip: Note that there is a space after the /s but not after the /v

Examples:

LinkPointSalesforceSetupTS.exe /s /v/qn

LinkPointMicrosoftCRMSetupTS.exe /s /v/qn

Although the user will not encounter the Installation Wizard, there may be some additional steps that will need to be completed later.

All users will need to start our LinkPoint Assist configuration tool to provide the initial user credentials and set other options.

Outlook users will need to manually run the command file to register our add-in component in Outlook.Â Without doing so, the LinkPoint functionality will not be present in Outlook.

Lotus Notes users will need to manually run our NSF file to install the user agents into Notes.Â Without doing so, the LinkPoint functionality will not be present in Lotus Notes.
